Chelsea transfer round-up: Blues in 'good position' to pull off goalkeeper deal amid interest in striker
All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea as they prepare for the FIFA Club World Cup final.
Chelsea are back in FIFA Club World Cup action on Sunday evening when they take on PSG in the final. The Blues will have to take on one of the best teams in the world in the sizzling summer New Jersey heat as they look to return with silverware.

In the meantime, Chelsea are still working on new signings as they prepare to lose a key starter in Noni Madueke. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Stamford Bridge.
Jackson attracts interest
After Noni Madueke agreed to leave Chelsea, Nicolas Jackson is now being tipped to move on just two years into his Stamford Bridge career. The Blues are likely to ask for big money to sell Jackson given they have strengthened their front line this summer, and a sale would oblige them to go back into the market.
But CaughtOffside are reporting that la Liga champions Barcelona are expressing an interest in Jackson as they look to strengthen up top this summer. Jackson has previously succeeded in La Liga with Villarreal.
Martinez claim
Chelsea have been tipped to sign Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez ahead of Manchester United this summer. Mick Brown told Football Insider: "Martinez is a very good goalkeeper, and from what I hear there are a few clubs who have been made aware that he will be available this summer. One of those clubs is Chelsea, who have been looking to strengthen in that position.
“It’s different at Chelsea to Man United, because they’ve got about four goalkeepers but they can go and sign Martinez and worry about what to do with the rest afterwards. As things stand, I’d say they’re in a good position to get ahead of United for that deal. The door has been left open so it wouldn’t surprise me to see them make a move."
Maresca on PSG challenge
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s clash with PSG, Enzo Maresca has said: “What worries me about Paris Saint-Germain is what worries me about any team. We are trying to help the team prepare for the match in the best way possible, by giving all the information possible to the players so they can perform on the pitch.
“I respect every team, but the way I prepare for the match on Sunday is the same way I prepared for the match against the Brazilian teams. It doesn't change much for me in the sense that I try to see where we can hurt them and I try to see where I can prevent them from hurting us. From there we prepare for the match.”
He added: “In this moment, the mood inside the changing room is fantastic, top. The reason why is because they value what they have done during this competition and during the season, especially now in where we are here in this competition. When you start with 32 teams, and you are lucky to be here at the end with just two teams, they are proud and happy. I have the feeling we are ready to play this final on Sunday.”
