Kudus latest

With reports Chelsea will now sell Noni Madueke, it’s claimed West Ham star Mohammed Kudus could be the main option. Tottenham are also said to be interested in the winger, but Simon Phillips is saying the Blues are now stepping up their interest.

It’s claimed Chelsea have already had a £50million offer rejected in the last week or so, but they are expected to make another offer once they manage a significant player sale. That could be Madueke or someone like Joao Felix, who is expected to leave this summer.

Ugockukwu interest

Chelsea player Lesley Ugochukwu is said to have been the subject of loan enquiries in the early days of the summer transfer window, with Spanish clubs reportedly expressing an interest. Chelsea spent £23.2million on the player who is yet to make an impact, spending last season on loan with Southampton and making as many as 31 appearances there.

According to BBC Sport, Valencia and Hamburg have both enquired about the possibility of signing Ugochukwu on loan, but Chelsea are reportedly holding out due to preferring a sale at this stage. Whether they will make their money back is another question.

Maresca on Willian

Enzo Maresca has been speaking about Palmeiras star and soon to be Chelsea man Estevao Willian. He said before Friday night’s game: “When we prepare games, we are used to prepare games thinking about the team, not the players that they are on the other side. And we have done exactly the same in this game. So we prepare the game against Palmeiras, not against Estevao. In this moment, he is a Palmeiras player that is going to play against Chelsea tomorrow. So we don't care if in the future he will be with us when this competition is finished. The only thing we are focused on is to do our best to try to beat Palmeiras and not to beat Estevao. Just think about them as a team.”

Asked about Willian’s step up when he arrives at Chelsea, Maresca responded: “I never talk with Estevao since I joined Chelsea. I met his family at training ground. Nice family, fantastic family. But as I said, we start to talk about the future when this competition is finished. Now is not the moment to talk about the future, Estevao's future. Everyone knows that this is a talented player, but in this moment is Palmeiras player. And we are here to play the game against Palmeiras tomorrow and hopefully we can win.”
