Chelsea target with 'a lot of personality' told he can leave after being left out of pre-season squad
Chelsea have now been given the chance to sign a £40million transfer target this summer.
Chelsea will now have the chance to land reports transfer target Alejandro Garnacho, who has been made available for transfer by Manchester United. The Blues have already signed one winger this summer, snapping up Jamie Bynoe-Gittens on a big-money deal from Borussia Dortmund, but they have been left in need of another wideman.

The Blues decided to sell Noni Madueke to Arsenal for near £50million, and they need to replace him. A number of players have been linked, and one them is United winger Garnacho, who was reportedly considered as a signing back in the January transfer window.
Since then, there has been plenty of change in Garnacho’s situation at Old Trafford, with the winger only playing 20 minutes of the Red Devils’ Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.
That lead to an outburst of sorts from the winger, who said after the game: “Up until the final I played every round helping the team, and today I play 20 minutes, I don't know. The final will influence [my decision] but the whole season, the situation of the club. I'm going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens afterwards."
United boss Amorim said in response: "I will speak with my players but the focus is the last game. I don't know what is going to happen but we have a plan. We were prepared for both situations, with Champions League and without. We have an idea of the type of squad we want but we still have the last game. We have time to address all these situations."
There has been plenty of talk that Garnacho could leave United this summer, and now the winger has been left out of the club’s pre-season tour after being told he can leave. Fabrizio Romano posted on X: “Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia all left OUT of Manchester United squad for pre-season tour. Harry Maguire also not with the team but only due to personal reasons, he will be back soon. Sancho, Garnacho, Antony and Malacia all up for sale.”
Recent reports have suggested that Garnacho could be available for as little as £40million this summer, and that would allow Chelsea to replace Madueke while also making a small profit. ESPN have reported that Garnacho would prefer to stay in England this summer, and Chelsea are said to be monitoring the situation as they decide upon their prime winger target.
Garnacho praise
Garnacho has previously been praised for his development by fellow countryman and former Barcelona star Javier Saviola. He told El Intransigente: “He has a lot of personality, he doesn’t give up and he’s always on the ball. He never gives up in one-on-one situations.
“Now he’s adding goals to his game, something he was lacking a bit before, and he’s appearing closer to the box. When the time comes for players like Messi and Otamendi to retire, I think the national team has a great future with Julian Alvarez, Garnacho, and Diablito Echeverri, among others.”
