Chelsea starting XI vs Crystal Palace as Mauricio Pochettino makes surprise Thiago Silva decision-Confirmed

Chelsea have lost Benoit Badiashile for a month after he picked up a groin injury against Aston Villa.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino hopes his team has turned the corner after they absolutely dismantled Aston Villa 3-1 to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup. The Blues have however lost their last two league games and will need to get all three points here to keep their faint hopes of finishing in a European spot alive.

Reece James and Robert Sanchez are all missing for this one but Levi Colwill is back in the team after missing the last few games due to a groin issue. Palace are without the important trio of Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise

The south London club have won two of their last 14 games in all competitions and pressure is mounting on manager Roy Hodgson to turn things around. Palace have not kept a clean sheet for 12 league matches, the longest such run in the top flight.

Chelsea are in danger of losing three consecutive league games for the first time this season even though they are massive favourites to get all three points at Selhurst Park tonight.

The days leading up to this game have been calm due to the impressive nature of the win against Villa but the story of their season has been that of inconsistency, so expect this to be tighter than the pre-game build-up suggests.

So with everything at stake, here is the team Pochettino has named for the crunch game tonight.
