Chelsea starting XI vs Bournemouth: Two changes from Nottingham Forest defeat- confirmed

Club captain Reece James, Armando Broja and Benoit Badiashile are nearing returns but will not be involved this weekend.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has made two changes to the team that lost to Nottingham Forest before the international break with starts for Mykhailo Mudryk and Lesley Ugochukwu.

Assistant captain Ben Chilwell has been dropped to the bench while there is no place in the team for Moises Caicedo even though that could be down to an injury.

Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino hopes the extra two weeks of training after the Nottingham Forest defeat will be enough to get his first away win since February 2019.

Chelsea have had a rough start to the season with just one win and two defeats from their first four games. They have definitely played better but this game against Bournemouth is one they will want to get points on the table with more difficult games coming up next month.

Robert Sanchez keeps his place in post while Enzo Fernandez who only returned to training on Friday is in the team as well as Raheem Sterling.

Club captain Reece James, Armando Broja and Benoit Badiashile are nearing returns but will not be involved this weekend.

The Cherries have not gone five league fixtures without a win from the beginning of a season since 2008-09, when they were in League Two. This game promises to be fascinating with both teams looking for wins to get the season going properly.

A start for Mykhailo Mudryk is one that Chelsea fans will welcome given he was signed for almost £90million and has barely got the chance to impress.
