Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez is determined to prove a few people wrong after excelling in the draw against Bournemouth last weekend.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion man arrived at Stamford Bridge as a second-choice goalkeeper but due to a sudden change of fortune, he quickly came in to be the number one after Kepa Arrizabalaga hurriedly joined Real Madrid before a ball was kicked this season.

Hide AdThis week Chelsea have been linked with Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale but the improving performance of Sanchez means the club could do with using that money elsewhere including the attacking phase where goals have been hard to come by.
Sanchez made four massive saves against Bournemouth and even though he’s conceded five times already in the league, it’s hard to pin any on him as goalkeeping errors.
His impressive showing against Bournemouth drew praise from Chelsea fans and the manager during his post-match speech in the dressing room despite the disappointments of the draw.
Chelsea continued to misfire at the attacking end the boss admitted they needed a certain level of luck to get through this period where they are playing well and not winning games.

Hide AdHe also said recently after being asked about striker Nicolas Jackson: “I think in the future we will be talking differently. He needs time to adapt to the Premier League. He is doing a fantastic job but scoring is not easy.
“He is a little bit rushed in his decisions. He needs to be a little bit more calm and relaxed and for sure he is going to score goals.”
