Chelsea star sends message to supporters after scoring spectacular free kick as agent speaks out

A Chelsea star delivered an emphatic message to the fans after scoring against Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.

Chelsea superstar Enzo Fernandez scored an outrageous free kick against Aston Villa last night in the FA Cup, sparking wonderment amongst the Blues fanbase. After scoring, the player took off his shirt and pointed to the pitch - indicating that he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge, despite a litany of rumours linking him with a move away from Chelsea.

Indeed, this sentiment has since been confirmed by Fernandez's agent, Uriel Perez. In a recent interview, Perez said that the Argentinian international 'has no intention of leaving' and that his desire is 'to be on the team and win trophies'. He also mentioned that he and Fernandez have 'not met with any clubs'.

Chelsea put forth a much-improved display in their fourth round FA Cup fourth round replay against the Villans. Before Fernandez's fantastic free kick, they had already established a lead through goals from Conor Gallagher and Nicolas Jackson - Villa's late consolation goal was netted by Moussa Diaby. With this win, Chelsea will play Leeds United in the fifth round.

What did Enzo Fernandez's agent say about the rumours of him leaving Chelsea?

Speaking to AS [via TEAMtalk], Perez said: "The player has no intention of leaving. The Chelsea hierarchy were very clear with this project. It’s a plan that was always going to be difficult at the beginning because new and young players were going to arrive. But when the pieces of the team all fit together, Chelsea are going to move forward.

"Enzo’s desire is to be on the team and win trophies. We have not met with any clubs or even tried to talk to any clubs, that’s not true. We know what the player’s desire is. Obviously he would like Chelsea to be in a better position [in the league] but that will be achieved with hard work."
