Chelsea set to 'make bid' that will match £25.3m asking price for Arsenal and Man Utd 'target'

Chelsea are said to be set to make the first move in their bid to land a player reportedly being considered by Arsenal this summer. The Blues are expected to improve their squad again this summer after spending huge amounts of money over recent years.
Enzo Maresca is going to want to put his own stamp on his new squad, although it’s no secret Chelsea are going to need tread carefully with Profit and Sustainability rules due to the amount they have spent in recent times. Exits will play a part in that, and sales will help Maresca get the money he needs to secure incomings.

CaughtOffside have reported that Chelsea are set to make an opening bid over the coming days that will be worth around £25.3million, which is 30million euros.
It’s claimed Adayemi could be an option to replace Raheem Sterling amid reported interest from the Saudi Pro League this summer, but there is also talk of interest from Manchester United and Liverpool. Dortmund are said to be asking for between £25.3million and £29.5million to sell Adeyemi this summer, with the 22-year-old under contract until 2027.
Adeyemi made 31 league appearances from 38 last season, but Dortmund have been known to cash in on talented players for the right price.
What has Adeyemi said?
Speaking last year about his time at Dortmund so far, the winger said: "I feel at home and that is the most important.” He added on his bid to keep improving: “I think step by step. I think what is the best thing that I can do for myself, for my journey. Dortmund was the perfect club.

I adapted to men's football and this is what is important for a young player. If you develop you can play in the first team of Salzburg and they play Champions League or Europa League. That is a great thing for a young player and you learn a lot. There are really good players in Salzburg and, for me, it was the best move that I could do."
Former boss Edin Terzic said of Adeyemi in 2023: "Karim has gone through a very difficult phase in recent weeks, but of course we know what potential and talent he has and he showed it [against Milan]. We would like to see this from him more often, and we will work on that. We had a little talk with him last week about the national team and we mentioned there that the only one who can stop this discussion is Karim and he showed that [against Milan]."
Terzic was criticised for his management of Adeyemi, and there have already been reports that new boss Nuri Sahin is keen to give the winger a more prominent role.
