Chelsea could only draw away to Manchester United in midweek,  a result that faltered the home side given the amount of chances Chelsea created but Tuchel knows that he will need to shut out the noise from the on-going sale of the club by just winning football games, something that has less consistently lately.

That cause will be massively aided by the return of  Andreas Christensen and Mateo Kovacic both a key part of the way he wants to play and have always delivered for the German manager since he took over from the man he will be facing, Frank Lampard.

Everton come into the game on the back of a bruising 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in the derby but the Merseyside are in a relegation dogfight and will try to stifle and frustrate the Blues as much as they can to at leats get something from the game.

Another fresh face that was seen at training was Ross Barkley and even though the Englishman has barely played this season, his presence give numbers and adds to to the growing options for the Chelsea boss.
