Chelsea predicted XI: Wholesale changes and a big Romelu Lukaku call made against Norwich
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is likely to ring the changes at Carrow Road-but who is likely to get in ?
Chelsea will look to pile more misery on Norwich when they travel to Carrow Road on Thursday night.
The European Champions are third on the Premier League table, but have been alerted by the mounting pressure by fourth placed Arsenal, who are just five points behind and with a game in hand, so Thomas Tuchel’s side haven’t quite wrapped up third place yet and will have that in mind against Norwich.
In the reverse fixture earlier in the season, the Blues ran out 7-0 winners with Mason Mount scoring a special hat-trick at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea go into the game in fine form having won their last three Premier League games including a 4-0 drubbing of Burnley at Turf Moor.
In contrast, Norwich have lost their last four games including a deflating defeat to Brentford at home last weekend which means they are now fighting for their lives.
Dean Smith’s men are not totally out of it yet but they will almost need a miracle to stay up now with everything happening around them.
For Chelsea the only disappointment will be that they never really put up a title challenge and they missed out on the Carabao Cup final in the most cruel of way, losing 10-11 to Liverpool on penalties at Wembley.
But there are still glittering moments to play for, they are in the round of 16 stage of the Champions League, quarter final stage of the FA Cup and most importantly playing for the pride that has always accompanied the club.
With Chelsea having more to play for and the form of Norwich looking the way, there is the huge chance that Thomas Tuchel is likely to ring changes to keep his team fresh as they have to play Newcastle in three days time at Stamford Bridge.
So with everything going on, here is how the Blues are expected to line-up tomorrow night.
