Chelsea predicted XI: 4-3-3 returns and 'strong' Conor Gallagher decision vs Newcastle United

Chelsea have lost only one of their past 12 home games in all competitions but face a big test against Newcastle.

Chelsea will hope to continue ther fine home form against Newcastle on Monday night, the Blues have only lost just one of their 28 league games against the Magpies at Stamford Bridge.

The psychological battle favours manager Mauricio Pochettino's side even though the home crowd is indifferent towards the former Tottenham Hotspurs boss. In their last game away at Brentford, Chelsea fans turned against him by singing for former manager Jose Mourinho.

He's admitted they will have to perform better and improve results if they're going to change the minds and opinions of those who are not convinced about the project. He told reporters when asked about the current feel within the fanbase.

Pochettino said: "We need to improve in the way that we play and the result and try to change this feeling. Of course, we need our fans and I hope Monday the fans will be right behind us and helping the team during 90 minutes to win the game, that is so, so important for our players.

"But we need to accept. This is football. Maybe if I was a fan and I was on the stand, I would behave the same as them because it is Chelsea, we are not matching the expectation and that is why they are reacting in this way.

"We need to accept and be responsible for our performance. We need to work really hard to improve and win games. It's what we need to create to better relationship with our fans."

Conor Gallagher is suffering from illness, while Carney Chukwuemeka, Reece James, Benoit Badiashile and Christopher Nkunku all remain out, so with that in mind, here is the team we anticipate Pochettino will name.
