There were genuine concerns over whether Chelsea would be able to kick-off the new Premier League season not so long ago.
But the recent takeover by the Todd Boehly-led consortium has cleared those concerns and all focus in now on helping Thomas Tuchel strengthen his squad in a bid to challenge for major honours once again.
The Blues head into the new season looking to bid for silverware in domestic competitions and the Champions League and Tuchel will be keen to continue putting his own stamp on his squad over the summer.
A number of eye-catching names have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge during the close season and several current Blues are set to depart over the coming weeks.
A very different Chelsea side will walk out at Goodison Park on the opening day of the season when the Blues take on Frank Lampard’s Everton.
