Casemiro scored late on to rescue a point for United and deny Chelsea all three points at Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro scored deep in extra time to secure an impressive 1-1 draw against Chelsea in the Premier League. The former Real Madrid man has finally settled at Old Trafford after a slow start and enjoyed another impressive outing for the United at Stamford Bridge.
Jorginho looked to have secured all three points for Chelsea after Armando Broja was brought down in the box, the referee pointed to the stop and Jorginho aided by his little leap sent David de Gea the wrong way. The Italian midfielder has now scored 27 out of the 31 penalties he’s had at Chelsea.
Manchester United who look like a brand new team under Erik ten Hag then threw the Kitchen sink at Chelsea and former Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro directed his header towards goal. Kepa Arrizabalaga tried as much as he could to tip it over, but he just couldn’t stop it and the referee pointed to the centre, signifying a goal.
In fairness, United deserved something from the game after a very good first half and even though Chelsea grew into it , Ten Hag’s side looked dangerous every now and then.
Chelsea though remain unbeaten under Graham Potter and fans will be delighted with the progress that has been made under the manager in the short period of time. Chelsea were not very good against Brentford the other night but still got something from the game, today they improved both tactically and physically in a game both sides just did not want to lose.

Made a brilliant save from Anthony in the first half. Then awkwardly handled the ball for a corner. Then made a great save one on one with Rashford. Would be disappointed to have conceded late on-8

Brought on in the first half to solidify things at a time United were running away with it in midfield-7

3. Cesar Azpilicueta
Started the game as a right wing-back and shifted to a right back before the end of the half. Defended strongly in the second Half- 8

4. Jorginho
Sat in the middle of the park and gave off a special performance and crowned it off with a beautiful penalty but got booked for cynical foul late on -8
