Chelsea player ratings vs Manchester United: 9/10 for 'livewire' and plenty 7/10s in terrific 4-3 win

The player ratings from Chelsea’s 4-3 Premier League win over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with a 4-3 win over Manchester United in the Premier League. In a game that had everything in it, Mauricio Pochettino’s side emerged victorious in one of the all-time thrillers.

It was Chelsea who opened the scoring at the rainy Stamford Bridge, Conor Gallagher with the speed of Usain Bolt in his thought and quality drilled home the opener after a Malo Gusto pass deflected off Raphael Verane and landed perfectly on his feet. Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana should be doing better there.

Antony who got the nod to start ahead of Marcus Rashford, was then punished after his tracking back tackle fouled Marc Cucurella. There was a long VAR check, but it was given as a penalty and Cole Palmer stepped up, sending Onana the other way to give Chelsea a 2-0 lead.

But from there, the chaos began, Moises Caicedo, who was having a good game clumsily, rolled the ball to Alejandro Garnacho, the Argentinian showing incredible composure to finish and reduce the deficit.

Four minutes later, Bruno Fernandez headed home a Diogo Darlot cross to make it 2-2 and turn the game on its head. Both teams then went punch-for-punch and attack after attack before halftime.

But it was one way early on after the break, Manchester United using the pace of Antony and Garnacho, the duo combining for United's third goal to ensure the comeback was complete.

Chelsea desperately went for it and substitute Noni Madueke won a penalty late on after some great play, Palmer made it 3-3 from the spot before his deflected shot won it deep into extra time to land Manchester United in a devasting blow.
