Chelsea had to settle for a draw in their London derby with West Ham United on Saturday.
The Blues kicked off the weekend’s Premier League action, and they did so with a bang. Joao Felix scored within the first 20 minutes, latching onto a superb pass into the box from Enzo Fernandez. The pair were by far the most impressive for Graham Potter’s men at the London Stadium, but they did not get just reward.
West Ham found an equaliser in the 28th minute, and through a familiar face, with former Chelsea star Emerson Palmieri tucking home at the far post after he was left completely unmarked. Chelsea would see a couple of goals chalked off for offside, and West Ham gave the Blues a scare of their own in the last 10 minutes, when they bundled one home following a free-kick, but Declan Rice was found to be offside in the build-up.
A frustrating result for Chelsea who simply failed to put the Hammers to the sword at the London Stadium.
