Chelsea player ratings: three score 5/10 and one really poor 4/10 in frustrating Brentford defeat

Chelsea was frustratingly beaten at home again by Brentford for the third year running in the Premier League.

Chelsea’s dreadful home form continued with Brentford masterminding a professional performance to beat the Blues 2-0 on another forgetful afternoon at the Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino had lost Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk before the game, describing their absence a result of small injuries so he had to bring in Axel Disasi and give a start Noni Madueke.

The England under-21 star was really unlucky not to have scored with his first shot on target after some brilliant dropping of the shoulder. Chelsea continued to dominate the game but it was Brentford who got the first goal in the second half.

Ethan Pinnock showing up at the far post to head home a cross from Bryan Mbeumo to quieten the home fans even more. Chelsea were shell shocked and rightfully so.

They pilled the pressure and with just two minutes to end, Bryan Mbeumo sealed a memorable win for the vistors with a cool finish. Making them the first team to beat Chelsea three years running at the Bridge.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have only won one league game at home all season and they will now travel to Tottennham next weekend counting on their away form to help them get back to winning games.

Here is how we rated the Chelsea players out there today.
