'Terrific footballer' gets 9/10- Chelsea player ratings as Blues thrash West Ham to boost European ambitions

Chelsea have hit form and made light work of a woeful West Ham side at Stamford Bridge.

A dominant in-form Chelsea side made light work of West Ham by beating them 5-0 to go above Manchester United into seventh on the Premier League table. West Ham have conceded 36 goals in their last 16 league games, and they looked like they had already checked out of the game for large parts.

Cole Palmer smashed in early in the first half, his 24th goal of a scintillating first campaign in west London. The finish was brilliant but no player in Claret and Blue even attempted to close him down when the ball broke loose in the box.

Conor Gallagher then needed to quickly adjust his feet before brilliantly smashing in a mid-air volley for Chelsea’s second and essentially putting the game to bed.

Thiago Silva is playing in his penultimate game at Stamford Bridge and he made sure Chelsea got the third goal, setting up the electric Noni Madueke to score his first headed goal for the club.

The England under-21 star celebrated by pointing to his head before running off to the corner flag.

The rumour is that David Moyes will leave West Ham at the end of this campaign but not even he would have envisaged how weak his team would be for the fourth goal. A long ball from the back into Madueke who selflessly steered it into the path of Nicolas Jackson to score.

The Senegalese would later score again to make it 5-0 completing one of the best performances of the season.

The result was nothing short of what Chelsea deserved, Pochettino has been under huge criticism for a large part of the campaign, but his team has peaked just before the close of the season and now they could win their remaining three games to secure some form of European football.

In what was truly a sensational performance, here is how we rated the Chelsea players out there.
