Chelsea receive £17.3m offer for player with Saudi Arabian window still open
Chelsea still have the opportunity to sell some players if Enzo Maresca wishes to, despite the end of the English window
Chelsea have made a decent start to the new Premier League season and have seven points on the board from their first three fixtures. Enzo Maresca was picked as their head coach last year and guided them to Europa Conference League glory in the last campaign. Prior to his move to Stamford Bridge, he caught the eye at Leicester City and guided the Foxes to the Championship title.

They are back in action after the international break later this month as they look to keep their momentum going. Next up for the London outfit is an away trip to Brentford. The Blues’ upcoming opponents have lost two of their first three games.
Chelsea receive Axel Disasi offer
According to Chelsea News, Neom SC have made an offer worth £17.3million for Chelsea defender Axel Disasi. The 27-year-old has slipped down the pecking order over recent times and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him head out the exit door for a new challenge somewhere else. He joined his current club back in 2023 but hasn’t been able to make the impact he would have wanted to.
The France international, who has made five caps for his country to date, has made 61 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions to date, 17 of which came last term. He was loaned out to Aston Villa last January to get some game time under his belt. He went on to play 10 games during his time at Villa Park before heading back to London for pre-season.
Disasi rose up through the academy at Paris FC and was a regular for them at various different youth levels before breaking into their first-team as a youngster. Spells at Stade de Reims and AS Monaco then followed on for him in Ligue 1. He was a hit with the latter and made 129 outings, finding the net on an impressive 12 occasions from the back, before he decided to make the switch over to England when the Blues came calling for his signature.
What now for Axel Disasi at Chelsea?
Disasi has missed the chance to join another team in England now. The window shut on Monday meaning he would have to wait until Janaury to find a club in the same country. Therefore, going abroad seems his best bet now.
After joining up with Aston Villa last winter, he said at the time: “The deal is done. It was stressful but now I am very happy to be here. It is past. It will be my first time that I play Champions League, so I’m very excited about it. I know also that the club is very ambitious, and me as well, so I hope that we will do something great.”
Neom are now keen and play their football in the Saudi Pro League. They were promoted from the second tier earlier this year and are managed by ex-PSG boss Christophe Galtier. Abdoulaye Doucoure, Saïd Benrahma and Alexandre Lacazette are all on their books.
