Chelsea midfielder Xavier Simons has emerged on the radar of Burnley, Millwall and Bristol City ahead of the summer. The youngster is currently out on loan in the Championship at Hull City.

The Evening Standard report that the Tigers are in ‘talks’ over a potential permanent move for the 19-year-old before the end of the January transfer window. However, they will have to see off competition with other clubs in the frame.

Chelsea gave the teenager the green light to head out the exit door last summer when Hull came calling but he has struggled for game time in East Yorkshire. He has made just two league appearances but their boss Liam Rosenior is believed to be a big fan and wants to land him as a long-term option.

Simons has been on the books at Stamford Bridge for his whole career to date and has been a regular for the Premier League giants at various youth levels over recent years. However, the Blues have a big decision to make on his future amid interest from teams wanting to snap him up for good.

In other Chelsea news, they have completed the signing of right-back Malo Gusto from Lyon on a bumper contract until 2030. He has returned to Parc Olympique Lyonnais on loan for the rest of the season and will link up with his new club in the summer.
