All the latest injury news surrounding Chelsea and Manchester United ahead of Friday night’s Premier League clash.

Chelsea are back in action on Friday night when they face strugglers Manchester United as they continue their bid for Champions League football. The Blues lost ground over the weekend but remained in control of a top five spot, albeit with the places below them now far more condensed.

There is little room for error from here, especially with Chelsea facing Nottingham Forest in their last game of the season, which comes after this one. United’s Premier League season is a write-off, but they will be thinking about next Wednesday’s Europa League final, and that could lead Ruben Amorim to rest plenty of players here. Below we have rounded up all the latest injury news surrounding both sides.

Leny Yoro - Doubt

Yoro limped off against West Ham. Amorim said after the game: “We have to assess Leny in a better way tomorrow. He felt something, but it could be a small thing." Yoro surely won’t be risked ahead of the final.

Mathijs De Ligt - Doubt

Amorim hsaid before the West Ham game: “It is not a big issue, so that is a good thing. But he cannot play tomorrow and on Sunday [vs West Ham]. But then we will check day-by-day and see.” It remains to be seen if he will be back here, but it would be a big risk given the Europa League final is only next week.

Lisandro Martinez - Out

Martinez will be out until 2026 with another serious knee injury. Ruben Amorim has said: “Licha is a difficult situation. He's going to be out for a while. We don't know the extent of the injury, but it's an injury that is going to take time.”

Joshua Zirkzee - Out

Amorim has confirmed Zirkzee is out for the season, explaining: “So, he’s not going to play more this season. Let’s prepare him for the next one. It’s tough, especially in this moment. I think he’s improving in all aspects of the game, so it’s hard for any player to stop.”

Diogo Dalot - Out

Dalot will be out until mid-to-late May with a lower leg injury. Amorim has said: “There is a possibility [that he may not play again this season], but I don't know. We will check week-by-week, because he can recover quite well. He has a problem with the muscle in his calf.”

Ayden Heaven - Doubt

Speaking in late April, Amorim simply said: “Ayden is not ready.” Heaven’s return date is unclear.

Toby Collier - Doubt

Amorim said in April: “Toby has a small issue in his leg, so we hope to have him in a few weeks.” Collier has been training, so he may be in contention to return.

Jonny Evans - Out

The United website has confirmed that Evans is being ‘carefully managed’ and it is not clear when he will return.

Nicolas Jackson - Out (Suspended)

Jackson is suspended after his red card during the Newcastle United defeat.

Wesley Fofana - Out

Fofana will not return this season, with Maresca having said: “Unfortunately, Wes will be out for the rest of the season.”

Omari Kellyman - Out

Kellyman has confirmed he will miss the end of the season, writing on social media: “Beyond gutted to say that this season has come to an early end for me due to a re-injury of my hamstring. 24-25 has been a tough season for me mentally and physically due to injury, but it’s important now that I take time to get this right.”

Marc Guiu - Doubt

Guiu has been pushing for a return, but he has remained absent from matchday squads up to now.

Christopher Nkunku - Out

Nkunku is out with a fresh injury issue. Maresca has said: “Christo will be out for I think one week or two weeks, we are not sure. We will see. He will be out for the next ten to 15 days.”

Mykhailo Mudryk - Out (Suspended)

Mudryk remains out due to a suspension over alleged consumption of a banned substance. Maresca has said: “The only thing I can say is that we are close to Mykhailo as a club, and we are trying to help him. In terms of an update, I don't have one.”
