All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea as they continue to search for new signings.

Chelsea are still working hard to get deals over the line as they bid to be ready for the start of the new Premier League season. Enzo Maresca has already been handed three new attackers, but there is more work to do, especially with Noni Madueke departing for Arsenal.

The Blues still need to strengthen their defence and others areas before the summer is out, and it seems they are making real progress in that area, with Jorrel Hato their chosen target. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Stamford Bridge.

Garnacho ‘stance’

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho this summer, although they are yet to pull the trigger over a move. United are said to be asking for around £40million and have left the winger behind from their pre-season tour as he looks to land a new club.

According to TeamTalk, Garnacho would welcome an approach from Chelsea and jump at the opportunity to fill Noni Madueke’s boots at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are yet to make an approach, though, and that’s despite needing a winger between now and the start of the new season.

Nkunku enquiry

Manchester United have reportedly asked about the potential conditions of a Christopher Nkunku deal, with Chelsea willing to offload the Frenchman this summer. Maresca has not been convinced by Nkunku, and a sale is very likely this summer.

Journalist Simon Phillips reports via Substack has reported that United enquired about Nkunku over the weekend. One has to wonder whether there is a swap deal to be done if the interest in both Nkunku and Garnacho is serious from each of the clubs.

Felix and Coelho depart

Chelsea have confirmed the departure of Joao Felix, who has joined Al-Nassr after just one year at Stamford Bridge. Felix will link up with national team teammate Cristiano Ronaldo after an unsuccessful year at Chelsea that ultimately saw him loaned out.

A Blues statement confirmed: “Joao Felix has departed Chelsea and signed a permanent deal with Al-Nassr. The Portugal international made 20 appearances in all competitions for the Blues last season, netting seven goals following his summer move to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid.

“He spent the second half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at AC Milan and has now departed the Blues on a permanent basis, joining Saudi Pro League side, Al-Nassr. We thank Joao for his efforts across his two spells at the club and wish him well for the future.”

Elsewhere, under-21s head coach Filipe Coelho has departed Stamford Bridge, with a statement confirming: “Chelsea Under-21s head coach Filipe Coelho has left the club to join French side RC Strasbourg as assistant head coach.

“The move represents an exciting opportunity for Coelho to move into senior football and follows an impressive debut season in west London, during which he made an excellent impression both on and off the pitch. Coelho guided our young Blues to a third-place finish in Premier League 2 last season before a quarter-final exit in the play-offs. There were also a number of men’s team debutants from the Under-21s group throughout 2024/25, including Tyrique George, Shumaira Mheuka, Kiano Dyer, Harrison Murray-Campbell, Genesis Antwi and Ato Ampah.

“The 40-year-old joined Chelsea after a successful season as Under-23s head coach at Estoril, in which the Portuguese side topped the Under-23 Liga Revelacao table. He had previously worked in Benfica’s highly-respected academy, joining the club’s youth set-up in 2006 and working his way up from assistant coach of the Under-14s to being named their Under-19s head coach ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.”
