Alan Shearer has issued his prediction for Chelsea’s clash with Villa, backing a Blues win. “Aston Villa are on a bit of a tough run at the moment, they were very unfortunate against Juventus, and Chelsea are on the up and looking strong,” Shearer told The Metro.
“I think I’ll go for a Chelsea win with the form they’re in. I think they’ll take the points. Prediction: Chelsea win.”
Bynoe-Gittens links
Chelsea are said to be interested in a deal for Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. According to BILD, the Blues may be willing to pay a big sum to land the 20-year-old.
The England under-21s international has racked up 55 league appearances for Dortmund so far, scoring seven times along the way. Gittens actually spent some time at Chelsea as a youngster before being released and going on to join Reading and then Manchester City, following a similar path to Jadon Sancho from there, leaving for Dortmund.

Hide AdSpeaking about his playing style Bynoe-Gittens has said: "I'm on the ball to make something happen but also to play simply. Not to dribble into any spaces. Simple passes, strong pressing, good defending and patience when I press." With the English winger reportedly valued at around £83million, it would be a surprise to see Chelsea spending so much on another winger after the signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk, while they also have money committed to a Jadon Sancho deal.
