Liverpool will keep one eye on their Wembley showdown against Chelsea when they take on Luton Town in the Premier League on Wednesday night. Reds boss Jurgen Klopp hinted both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dominik Szoboszlai were making progress, revealed they were not on the grass yet.
Over the weekend, Liverpool turned a potentially slippery match against Brentford into a one-sided affair with goals from Nunez, Alexis Mac Allister, Salah and Cody Gakpo sealing valuable three points in west London.
That result though didn't come without a string of fresh injury concerns for Liverpool just days before the 2024 League Cup final against Chelsea. Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, and Darwin Nunez all had problems during and after the game. Manager Jurgen Klopp addressed the swelling injury list ahead of the game against Luton Town tomorrow night.
He told reporters: "Not great. Would like to say no issues but we have some. Alisson is not available, due to muscle injury, not sure how long; Diogo, a knee issue, is ruled out, Curtis, a bone/ligament issue, is ruled out; others.
"We think we will deal with it day by day. Muscle issues, we will see. If you see the lineup early enough, you will see who did and who didn't make it. That's it. Trent and Szoboszlai are on their way back and not in team training yet, so not available yet. That is the situation. What I said after the game is if we have 11 we will go for it and that is the idea."
So with all that Klopp and LondonWorld's sources- below is the entire list of injured players and expected return dates as we build up to the League Cup final this weekend.
