Romeo Lavia, Reece James and Malo Gusto: Chelsea injury news and latest return dates

Chelsea have suffered another massive injury with Romeo Lavia ruled out for the rest of the campaign.

Chelsea return to Premier League action looking to climb up the table and hunt down European football next season. They haven't lost a home league game this year as the results picked up before the March international break.

They however have been dealt another nightmare injury news with Romeo Lavia now expected to stay out for the rest of the season, He managed just 35 minutes on his debut and has since been unable to find the fitness to return to training.

He joins Wesley Fofana who is also not able to play due to a knee injury he suffered last summer and has been unable to return since. Captain Reece James hasn't also kicked a ball this year after undergoing hamstring surgery.

Pochettino believes his team has struggled for consistency partly due to the unending injuries his players have suffered and the news of Lavia missing out will only strengthen his resolve.

Ben Chilwell is however back now as his double performance for England proved and Robert Sanchez played in the win against Leicester before the international break. Thiago Silva and Benoit Badiashile were also in the squad for the FA Cup game so there are options in defence and in post going into the last round of the campaign.

They will have to get past Manchester City to reach the final of the FA Cup which could be another route into Europe but for now, all the attention will be on winning against struggling Burnley this weekend. So with that in mind, here is a list of players who will definitely not be involved in the game.
