Hide AdAfter what was a difficult start to the season under Mauricio Pochettino, the Blues will now play in the Carabao Cup final next month. They will also have the chance to knock out Aston Villa in the FA Cup before heading to Anfield to try and hurt Jurgen Klopp's side in the league.
After scoring only 50 goals the whole of the 2022/2023 season, Chelsea have now equalled that tally already this season and they could still finish in the top six of the league table. Things are looking brighter and Madueke says there is a feeling within the squad that they are going places.
He told LondonWorld: “We’re turning a corner… you can definitely see the progression. I am really happy and proud of the boys today. People have been doubting us. But again, it was great for the club not only to win but win in style.”

It felt like you would always see the right mentality from the start [in the second leg] and a will to win and score many goals and win in style. That’s what our fans deserve and what they’ve got.”
There is little time to celebrate as the games come thick and fast, they take on Aston Villa in what is a massive test to their home form before the trip to Anfield. Madueke says the secret to winning it all is to prepare well.
He added: "We’ve got a few more games between now and then — Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Friday and a trip to Liverpool - so we just need to rest, recover, and prepare for that.”
Madueke after a slow start to life in west London now has two league goals and scored the sixth as Chelsea put Boro to the sword at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
