Chelsea will reportedly allow five layers to leave the club during the January transfer window. It’s not likely to be a busy window in terms of incomings for the Blues, although there is talk of a possible striker signing.
The majority of Chelsea deals will be outgoings, with a number of players still needing to move on to secure regular football. Here we take a look at the five players BBC Sport say the Blues will listen to offers for or loan out in January.
Ben Chilwell
Transfermarkt value: £16,6m

Hide AdEnzo Maresca has already said of Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka: “Probably they are the first [to say] that they want to leave because they train every day, because they want to play games and if they don't play games probably they are thinking of leaving. Each player is a bit different situation, so we're going to see if some of them are coming and knocking on the door to say 'I want to leave'. We will try to find a solution."
Chilwell has been starved of football so far this season after failing to secure an exit in the summer. While he might not be what Maresca wants or needs, he is too good a player to not playing regular football.
Carney Chukwuemeka
Transfermarkt value: £12.4m
Reports have claimed Chelsea will demand as much as £40million to sell Chukwuemeka permanently, but a loan deal could also be on the cards given the Blues have not totally given up on the midfielder. Although, it does look as though they will let him go for the right price if he wants to leave.
The reality is that the former Villa man low in the pecking order, and Maresca is not able to guarantee that will change any time soon.
Cesare Casadei
Transfermarkt value: £8.3m

Hide AdCasadei was convinced to stay by Maresca after being offered a loan exit in the summer, but he has struggled for game time beyond the Conference League. A loan deal is inevitable this winter, and it looks as though the majority of interest is coming from Italy. AC Milan and Lazio have been linked most recently.
Harvey Vale
Transfermarkt value: £1.2m
Chelsea are said to be ready to sell Vale six months before his contract expires, and it will likely be a cut-price fee due to his contract situation. His latest loan experience came in League One, but at 21 and with potential, he may be able to secure a Championship move.
Alex Matos
Transfermarkt value: £838,000
Matos is under contract until 2026, but it seems Chelsea will allow him to leave in January. Having spent time on loan with Huddersfield Town, the versatile 20-year-old should be able to land a Championship gig or a club high up in League One.
