Chelsea defender Reece James says there is little difference between Graham Potter and Thomas Tuchel ahead of their Champions League game against Dortmund.

The Blues have struggled since Potter replaced Tuchel last year but the board have stood by the English manager and have just splashed almost £300 million on new players.

Under Potter the Blues have accrued fewer points than Brentford and Fulham and they are currently 10 points behind fourth placed Newcastle on the league table.

They have only won twice in their last eight games in all competitions and there have been calls from a section  of the fans base to get rid of him.

But Reece James who is working his way back to full fitness says Potter is quite similar to Tuchel in many ways and the English manager is a good person.

Games always added that Potter laid down his cards the moment he took the job which has helped during the difficult phase.

The English defender told Kelly & Wrighty Show: “[It] doesn’t make too much difference.

“You’re in the zone, you listen but don’t pay too much attention to their gestures. You’re focused.

“He’s a great manager to work under, a very good person, the relationship, how well you get on with the players is a big part.

“He laid his cards out early when he arrived, that helped a lot. Even in the spell we’re in, the transparency is always there. We always know our targets and end goals.”

Chelsea take on Dortmund in the Champions League hoping to get a result that will keep them alive for the second leg at Stamford Bridge.
