Chelsea have confirmed the temporary departure of one of their wantaway stars with Kepa Arrizabalaga departing the club, again on loan. The Spaniard spent time at Real Madrid last season, largely serving as Andriy Lunin’s back-up, and he was said to be waiting for a return to the Sanitago Bernabeu this summer.
With Thibaut Courtois returning to full fitness this season, Kepa was not needed by Carlo Ancelotti, and the once £71.6m signing has been left to look elsewhere. There haven’t been too many takers, but Kepa has now found a club in the Premier League, and potentially a starting job.

The keeper will work with fellow Spaniard Andoni Iraola at the Vitality Stadium and will compete with club captain Neto for the number one role, while Will Dennis and Mark Travers are also options between the sticks.
The deal is likely to end Bournemouth’s interest in Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who now looks likely to end up at Southampton on a permanent deal.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have signed yet another goalkeeper in Mike Penders from Genk on a £17million deal, but the teenager will not join until next season. Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen will be the two main options for Enzo Maresca this season.
Badiashile ‘decision’
Elsewhere, Chelsea are said to have made a decision on the future of Benoit Badiashile. While the defender may not have an important role to play this season, Football.London report that the club have informed the player he will not be sold nor moved on in any form ahead of the deadline.
