Chelsea ‘close’ to agreeing transfer and Tottenham man attracting interest

The latest Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur news on Friday.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are both busy preparing for the start of the new Premier League season.

The Blues are currently away in America as they look to get back up to speed under Thomas Tuchel.

Spurs are back in action tomorrow away at Rangers at Ibrox.

Here is a look at all the news regarding the two London clubs at the moment....

Kounde update

Chelsea are reportedly working on a deal to sign defender Jules Kounde from Sevilla.

The centre-back is also apparently wanted by Barcelona.

The Guardian report the Blues are ‘close’ to agreeing a fee in the region of £55million for his services.

Player outgoing

Henry Lawrence has temporarily left Stamford Bridge to join MK Dons on loan.

The right-back spent the past campaign with AFC Wimbledon and has now joined their bitter rivals.

He played 32 times last year as the Dons were relegated to League Two.

Spurs want another wing-back

Spurs are believed to still be keen on bringing in another wing-back in this window.

Antonio Conte’s side have already landed six new additions this summer.

90min claim they are ‘hoping’ to bring in another player in the same position as the likes of Ryan Sessegnon and Djed Spence to add more competition.

Parrott update

Tottenham have a decision to make regarding the future of Troy Parrott.

He spent last term on loan with MK Dons and was a hit with the League One club.

The Northern Echo have reported that Middlesbrough and Sunderland want him now.
