Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca admits 'concerns' after draw as West Ham's Graham Potter makes "not nice" admission
Chelsea drew 2-2 with Bournemouth on Tuesday night as West Ham United got their first win under Graham Potter
There were contrasting emotions for Chelsea and West Ham United on Tuesday night as the Blues rescued a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth while West Ham United won their first Premier League game under Graham Potter with a 3-2 victory over Fulham.

At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea took a first-half lead through Cole Palmer as he finished following a brilliant assist from Nicolas Jackson who turned away from three Bournemouth players before sliding a pass in for the midfielder. Bournemouth hit the post in the first half before the hosts went up the other end and struck the woodwork as Jackson hit a fierce striker from the edge of the box. The Cherries levelled from the penalty spot via Justin Kluivert after Moises Caicedo had brought Antoine Semenyo down inside the box. Semenyo soon put the away side ahead with a stunning strike at the near post that flashed in off the wordwork. In the 95th minute, captain Reece James fired a free-kick into the bottom corner to claim a point.
Meanwhile at the London Stadium, the Irons defeated Fulham as they punished some careless errors from the away side. Harry Wilson hit the bar in the first half but two goals in as many minutes proved vital. Carlos Soler thumped the ball home after Bernd Leno accidentally played the ball into the path of the West Ham man before a Hammers break was finished by Tomas Soucek after a cross from Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Fulham hit the bar again before half time but pulled a goal back when Alex Iwobi’s cross evaded everybody to find the net. Lucas Paquetá restored West Ham’s two-goal lead as Danny Ings tackled Leno to give his teammate an empty net to score into from the edge of the box. Iwobi scored again as yet another cross found the net after deceiving everybody but the home side held on for all three points.
Maresca reflects on draw
Reflecting on Chelsea’s draw, Blues boss Enzo Maresca said: "I think first half we completely deserved to win the game. We should have scored three goals. When we conceded in the second half, we dropped. We deserved to win the game when we created so many chances.
"It was one of the best parts of the season in the first half. We were aggressive and the chances we created. We are a bit unlucky in scoring goals. We miss and then we concede. We need to continue. The bad thing as I said is that after the penalty, we drop and there is no reason we need to do that. The game was completely in our control and it's something we need to improve. I have concerns always even when we are winning matches. This is the Premier League, when you don't create chances and don't score then you have to be more concerned."
Potter not getting carried away
New Hammers boss Potter reacted to his side’s win, as he said: "It's a fantastic three points, considering the players we were missing. It was a real team effort. We had to ride our luck at times and suffer. But we got three goals and pressed well to get those.
"We weren't prefect for sure. But the foundation and the starting point has to be preparing to suffer together and looking after each other. They did that. We suffered at the start of the game. We were bit more aggressive with pressing halfway through the first half and it helped us. We got the goals which was against the run of play at that time. Then we got the crowd involved and then I though it was a little better for us.
"You have to start with a solid base. The team has conceded some goals and the change of manager is never a nice feeling. We need to get the defensive side right and little bit of shape in the attacking perspective. It's three games in a week and you don't get enough training. We have just got to try and do our best and the players did that. They gave everything and sometimes when you do that, you can get a result."
