Chelsea have begun an astounding clear-out to balance the books and trim the squad, having brought in a number of players to help new manager Graham Potter.

Jorginho is the first, with likely many to follow, but the Italy international could win the Premier League with Arsenal flying high and leading the table.

The Italy international will undergo a medical before signing an 18 months contract with Mikel Arteta’s side.

Chelsea are looking to sign Enzo Fernández from Benfica for a Premier League record deal and they will try to shift players on before attempting to complete the deal.

Another player that is attracting interest is Conor Gallagher, with both Everton and Newcatsle United trying to secure his signature.

Gallagher has been a good squad player for Chelsea and even though he would like to have a significant role at the club and return to the level he was when he was out on loan at Crystal Palace.

Chelsea themselves are looking at the £40 million bid from Newcastle as one of the cash generators for their ambitious bid of Enzo Fernández.

Jorginho has scored 29 goals in 213 appearances for Chelsea, winning the Champions League, Europa League, Uefa Super Cup and Fifa Club World Cup during his time at the club.

He has 46 international caps and was part of the Italy side that beat England to win Euro 2020 at Wembley in July 2021.
