Chelsea sign £48m Arsenal 'target' & splash out on 4 Premier League stars in dream XI if transfer rumours are true

Chelsea could be set for another busy summer window as they aim to build a squad capable of challenging for a Premier League title.

This season, they are aiming to land a Champions League spot, which will be the top five Premier League positions due to the impressive performances of English clubs in the Champions League this season.

Enzo Maresca has a young core of talented players, but he is expected to add more names at Stamford Bridge in the summer window to help them grow into a title contender.

H2 - The Blues sign PL centre-back and goalkeeper

Goalkeeper: Caoimhin Kelleher

Defenders: Marc Cucurella, Wesley Fofana, Marc Guehi, Reece James

The Blues are likely to add both a goalkeeper and a centre-back in the summer as they aim to solidify at the back. Marc Cucurella, Reece James and Wesley Fofana remain in the starting XI, but they see two new teammates at the back in the form of Liverpool keeper Kelleher and Crystal Palace star Guehi.

Chelsea have been linked to Guehi for a long time, and are likely to pursue the defender who was subject to bids from Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur in the last two transfer windows. Guehi came through the academy at Chelsea, so he is familiar with the set-up and would provide Fofana with a solid centre-back partner at Stamford Bridge.

A goalkeeper signing is also likely this summer with the Blues connected to Liverpool star Caoimhin Kelleher, who is likely to leave Anfield as he is the backup to Alisson. Furthermore, Liverpool are awaiting the arrival of Valencia keeper Giorgo Mamardashvili.

Kelleher is a very competent Premier League keeper, who could replace the mistake-prone pairing of Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea add Man United midfielder

Midfielders: Moises Caicedo, Kobbie Mainoo, Cole Palmer

Chelsea aren’t going to replace the likes of Palmer and Caicedo, who have arguably been the Blues’ best players this season under Maresca. However, they have been linked to signing Man United midfielder Mainoo.

The 19-year-old is yet to sign a new contract at Old Trafford, and due to his high wage demands, the Red Devils could cash in around £70m on him by selling to Chelsea, as United have concerns regarding Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Mainoo has made 25 appearances for United this season, scoring just one goal and providing one assist in a year that has been plagued by injury and uncertainty at Old Trafford.

Delap and Williams add firepower in the Blues’ attack

Wingers: Pedro Neto, Nico Williams

Striker: Liam Delap

Chelsea are one of several Premier League clubs looking to sign a striker in the summer. One name that they have been linked to is Ipswich Town star Liam Delap who is expected to leave should they face relegation this year.

Delap has also attracted attention from Man United and is expected to cost £40m due to a release clause after a season where he has netted 12 goals in 30 Premier League games for Ipswich.

Pedro Neto is the winger that keeps his place for Chelsea, whereas they could sign La Liga star Nico Williams on the other side. He has a £48m release clause, and has been linked very heavily to rivals Arsenal. Chelsea are said to be keen on the Spain international too, who has scored eight goals and provided seven assists for Athletic Bilbao this season.
