Chelsea are back in action this weekend with a tricky trip to Elland Road to take on Leeds United.

Everton are reportedly ready to pursue a deal to sign Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour.

The youngster spent last term on loan at Norwich City but couldn’t prevent the Canaries from relegation to the Championship.

The Daily Star report the Toffees are now poised to ‘ramp up’ their efforts to lure the Scotland international to Goodison Park before the end of the transfer window.

Fofafa update

Tuchel’s side have been linked with a move for Leicester City centre-back Wesley Fofana this summer.

The defender has been a hit since moving to the Premier League from Saint-Ettienne in 2020.

According to the Daily Mail, he has ‘agreed’ personal terms with the Blues but the two clubs are still apart on his valuation.

Bundesliga defender eyed

Chelsea are said to have looked at signing RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol.

The Croatia International, who is 20-years-old, joined the Bundesliga club in 2020 from Dynamo Zagreb and has since made 49 appearances for them in all competitons.

The Daily Mail report that the Blues have ‘had an eye’ on him as a potential defensive addition but his side don’t want to lose him at this moment in time.
