Chelsea are now preparing for an FA Cup fourth round date with Brighton, which is the first of back-to-back games against the Seagulls. The Blues picked up a big comeback win over West Ham on Monday night to return to the top four, and they will be looking to stay there.

Enzo Maresca didn’t manage to get a big attacking addition on deadline day, but he still has a strong squad to work with. As attention turns to the cup, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Stamford Bridge.

Guehi boost

Chelsea will have a good chance of re-signing centre-back Marc Guehi in the summer, according to Dean Jones. He told GiveMeSport's Market Madness podcast: “I had some scepticism when I first saw they went in for him. I’d heard nothing about it. At Tottenham, I have some reasonable contacts, but it wasn’t something I’d heard before all of this.

“They probably sensed that this was their big chance to go and do it because the likelihood is that Marc Guehi would choose to go to Chelsea, I’ve heard that for a long time now, and that will probably still be the case if Guehi leaves Crustal Palace at the end of the season then that’s where he ends up.”

Nkunku latest

Chelsea have already decided they are willing to sell Christopher Nkunku in the summer, according to Football Insider. Nkunku was heavily linked with an exit in the January window, with Manchester United and Bayern Munich reportedly expressing an interest.

But the Blues wanted more than £60million, which scuppered any chance of a deal. The report claims Chelsea are willing to do a summer deal, though it’s not clear whether they will reduce their asking price in a bid to secure a sale.

Jackson backed

Marc Cucurella predicts Nicolas Jackson will rediscover his best form with the striker currently struggling in front of goal. The Spaniard said: “He presses very good and does a lot of movement in and out for other players and that is also very good.

“Everyone has tough moments during the season but the most important thing is that we are with him during this period he plays a lot and for sure if he continues like this he will score a lot of goals.”
