LondonWorld.com’s sources have confirmed Enrique is quite interested in taking up the role, he’s been out of work since leaving his Spain job after the World Cup in Qatar.

There are a number of managers who have been linked with the role with former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, recently sacked Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann and former Real Madrid man Zinedine Zidane all being touted as potential Chelsea managers.

LondonWorld.com understand that the Chelsea hierarchy are willing to take their time and comb through some of the best managers before making a decision on the next appointment.

According to sources everyone at Chelsea is disappointed with the way the appointment of Potter has ended and are willing to get the next call right.

Spanish manager Luiz Enrique has also been linked with the vacant managerial role at Tottenham even though sources have said his first choice will be the Chelsea job.

Tottenham sacked Antonio Conte and just like Chelsea have done with Bruno Saltor, installed Conte’s assistant Cristian Stellini-as interim manager until the end of the season.

Both London clubs seem to be looking at the same managers as they look to re-set the culture and give players a new technical direction ahead of next campaign.
