Carabao Cup final: 10 amazing pictures of Chelsea and Liverpool fans at Wembley

Liverpool were crowned Carabao Cup winners for a record 10th time after beating Chelsea at Wembley.

Liverpool beat Chelsea to win their 10th Carabao Cup trophy with many fans from both clubs packed into Wembley to create memories. Virgil van Dijk's header deep into extra time gave an under-strength Liverpool a remarkable Carabao Cup final win over the Blues at Wembley.

The Dutch defender had seen an earlier goal called offside after Chelsea's Raheem Sterling had also his goal chalked off in an evenly poised game for large parts. Chelsea came into this one confident after three unbeaten games, with victory against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace and a draw at Manchester City

Liverpool were also without Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota, also losing Ryan Gravenberch who was taken off on a stretcher after Moises Caicedo's first-half challenge so the Chelsea fans for most of the game were loud.

Both teams had their moments with Liverpool starting the game confidently before Chelsea recovered to create their own chances and they will feel they could have won it all, especially after a strong finish to the game.

This was a cracker with nail-biting stuff as it swang from one end to the other before van Dijk's settled it late on. Chelsea fans left the stadium heartbroken but there is no doubt that most of them enjoyed a large part of the game while Liverpool fans stayed on to sing for their manager Jurgen Klopp who is leaving at the end of this season. A perfect start to a long farewell.

So with all the drama and a late winner, below are some of the best photos from the game at Wembley today.
