Chelsea are set to make the short trip south as they take on Brighton in the latest gameweek in the Premier League. It will be a day of mixed emotions for Chelsea boss Graham Potter, who left the Seagulls to take charge at the Blues earlier in the season.

Potter first took charge of Brighton in 2019 after leaving Swansea. He earned many plaudits at Brighton for the style of football he was playing with them, and was frequently linked with vacant jobs at bigger clubs during his tenure.

Both sides can be happy with their start to the season, with Chelsea currently sitting fifth in the league after a tumultuous summer. Despite Brighton’s blistering start, their form has tailed off, and they’re currently ninth.

The West London club come into this game in great form. They haven’t lost a game since the opening gameweek of the Champions League, where they lost 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb on September 6.

Meanwhile, their opponents haven’t won a game in their last five. Their last win was a 5-2 demolition of Leicester on September 4. They have lost three of their last four games, losing 3-1 away at Manchester City last time out.

When is kick off?

The game at the American Express Community Stadium will kick off at 3pm on Saturday, October 29.

Chelsea v Brighton has been selected for a 3pm kick-off time on Saturday October 29 and so it won’t be shown live on UK television. This is to comply with the ‘blackout’ regulation on televised coverage between 2:45pm and 5:15pm on a Saturday.

Under the rules, broadcasting rights are restricted for clubs in the UK, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. Not all is lost, though, as highlights will be available for Sky Sports subscribers on the Sky Sports app around 15-30 minutes after the final whistle.

How do I keep up with the game?

Despite the game not being on television, you can keep up with live scores by watching Gillette Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports. Jeff Stelling and his expert panel will keep up to date with all games over England and Scotland both in the studio and live at some select stadiums.

How do I watch the highlights?

All fixtures that are played on Saturday will feature on BBC One show Match of the Day, which is aired after the weather at 10:25pm. It features extensive highlights followed by in depth analysis from Gary Lineker, Ian Wright and Alan Shearer.
