Bournemouth have announced striker Dominic Solanke has signed a fresh new deal at the club.

Bournemouth have added spice to their game against Chelsea by announcing that star man Dominic Solanke has signed a fresh four-year deal at the club.

The forward, who has been with the Cherries since January 2019, has 179 appearances in red and black, he will now stay at the Vitality until 2027 after agreeing to a new four-year deal with the days to the Chelsea game.

Solanke has two goals from the opening four Premier League games of the season, while he also bagged an assist at Anfield against his former club in August.

Chelsea go into the game at the back of a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest before the international break and will be looking for only their second league win in five games having lost two and drawn one.

They will however be hoping to have some injured players back including  Armando Broja who the Albanian FA boss Armando Duka, has confirmed will be ready for this weekend. The forward hasn’t played in the last 10 months due to a knee injury he picked up but could return this weekend.

The Albanian FA boss said: “Armando Broja has completed the recovery phase. We expect him to be on the bench with Chelsea this week, that is, ready to return to the field.”

Then there is the case of a player like Mykhailo Mudryk who looked like he had picked up a knock in the game against England but returned in time to train well the next day.

Players like Reece James, Trevoah Chalobah and Carney Chukwuemeka are not too far away while Christopher Nkunku, Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana all still look like they still need some time to come back.
