Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham transfer news: 10 deadline day deals likely to take spending to £2billion
Premier League clubs are on track to smash the £2billion barrier money spent on players with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham amongst the highest spenders.
Chelsea have just confirmed the signing of Cole Palmer from Manchester City in a deal that takes their spending in the last three transfer windows to almost £1billion.
This summer 12 new players have arrived at Stamford Bridge, that is more than a first 11 and while Chelsea have sent out players on loan and got rid of others, this still feels surreals and some more players could still arrive before the red tape tonight.
Tottenham are also looking to bring in some players and have been linked with Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson, they have also been linked with Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher as a replacement to want-away Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.
Manchester United and Fulham have all been in touch to ask about the Danish midfielder while young Spurs defender Japhet Tanganga is heading to Lyon to have his medical.
Arsenal have done most of their work early this summer, the signing of Declan Rice is their highest deal this summer from West Ham. They also paid almost £65million for Kai Havertz while bringing Jurrien Timber from Ajax for almost £35million.
Forward Emile Smith Rowe is one to keep an eye out as the day travels on as he came close to joining Chelsea with the Blues proposing a swap deal with Mykhailo Mudryk that was instantly knocked back by Mikel Arteta.
Chelsea also had a €20 million ($22 million) offer for Corinthians youngster Gabriel Moscardo rejected by the Sao Paulo-based club, sources told ESPN Brasil.
This summer has been another-record breaking one but the final day promises to be even more so with that in mind, here are some of the deals that could still happen.
