'Mentally strong': 30-year-old Chelsea striker recovers from injury ahead of time and will now play at Wembley

Romelu Lukaku has been battling a groin injury and missed Roma's last two games.

Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku will play against England tonight after recovering from the groin injury that made him a doubt for the game. The Chelsea striker, on loan at AS Roma will get the chance to showcase his talent in England again with his future still up in the air in west London.

This season, Lukaku has 10 league goals for Roma and seven in the Europa League. He's played over 100 games for his country and even though his £97.5million move from Inter Milan to Chelsea a couple of seasons ago has not worked quite well, the striker could prove value for money in the summer.

Chelsea are looking for buyers and the better he performs, the more likely they will get a fee for him. Former Liverpool and France striker Djibril Cisse recently spoke about his admiration for Lukaku and how he's handled difficult situations lately.

He told DH Net: "Very much so [I like him as a player].

"He’s a great player who scores goals wherever he goes. He’s often been criticised but mentally he’s a strong guy. It seems that criticism makes him better and that’s very strong."

Chelsea boosted by Palmer's return

Chelsea's top performer this season, Cole Palmer could also feature in the match tonight after returning to training this week. The 21-year-old has been a breath of fresh air for the Blues and has forced himself into the England team with performances that are just impossible to ignore.

He has 11 goals and eight assists for Mauricio Pochettino's side this season.
