Thomas Tuchel is back to England just two years after he left the Chelsea job but the pressure to his latest job is a different job.

Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has been named the new England manager, and this means he has just one shot at winning a major trophy for the nation: the men’s World Cup, after agreeing to an 18-month contract.

Tuchel already has an impressive coaching career, having led PSG to the Champions League final, won the Champions League and Club World Cup with Chelsea, and even claimed the Bundesliga title.

However, it was his time at Chelsea that made a real impact, demonstrating that he was one of the best managers in the world when he defeated Pep Guardiola to secure a much-needed Champions League trophy.

His main target will be leading England through qualification for the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Chelsea fans fondly remember Tuchel, who took over when many didn’t think he could succeed, and he ultimately changed the system, guiding Chelsea to win the Champions League and getting the best out of players like Reece James, Ben Chilwell, and Antonio Rüdiger.
