He's been used at the heart of midfield but also has played wide with his versatility a key gain for Chelsea especially at a time they were looking lost at the final third.

Colmer has bagged a goal and made two assists but it is his overall play that has been incredibly brilliant leading to praise from manager Pochettino who admitted he's been special in his first few weeks at the club.

The Chelsea boss told the club's website: "Cole Palmer is a good link player and links with all his teammates. We are giving him a starting position on the right to play between the lines because he is ready to be unpredictable.

Football is a game where you need to be unpredictable and he has the capacity to do this.”
