Charlton Athletic brace for Wycombe Wanderers transfer interest in ex Liverpool youngster

It's been a season of blowing hot and cold for Charlton Athletic so far in League One, but a run of strong results over the festive break had once again propelled Nathan Jones' side into a position as potential play-off challengers.
The Addicks are unbeaten in six league fixtures, beating Wycombe Wanderers, Cambridge United and Northampton Town in that period. The London outfit are next in action against Championship outfit Preston North End in an FA Cup clash this weekend before a trip to Rotherham United next weekend.

Charlton Athletic midfielder returns from loan
Charlton Athletic have recalled Aaron Henry from his loan spell at National League side Rochdale after the midfielder picked up an injury. The 21-year-old is in the final six months of his Addicks contract but the club does hold the option to extend that by another year, as per the South London Press.
Henry made 16 appearances for Rochdale since joining in July but has broken his foot in an injury that will spell a lengthy period on the sidelines. The player is set to continue his rehabilitation at the Sparrows Lane training ground with Charlton Athletic staff.
Henry had made 28 appearances for the Addicks, scoring two goals. He has had previous loan spells at Wealdstone and Crawley Town.

Charlton Athletic striker Miles Leaburn has been nominated for the League One Player of the Month award for December after an impressive string of performances.
The 21-year-old bagged four goals and two assists over the busy month for Jones' side, as the Addicks finished 2024 with three back-to-back wins. Leaburn picked up a goal and assist in the 5-0 win over Northampton Town and managed the same feat when Cambridge United were beaten 2-1. He then netted a brace against Wycombe Wanderers.
Leaburn will compete with Exeter City's Millenic Alli, Leyton Orient's Omar Beckles and Birmingham City's Jay Stansfield for the Player of the Month award.
Wycombe Wanderers eye Lloyd Jones
Charlton Athletic are bracing for transfer interest in centre-back Lloyd Jones from none other than League One rivals Wycombe Wanderers. That's according to transfer specialist Alan Nixon, who claims the second-placed side could poach the London club on Patreon.

Hide AdJones' contract at The Valley expired this summer and a January sale could allow Charlton Athletic to cash in on the star before he leaves as a free agent. The Liverpool youth academy graduate has made 17 League One appearances this term and has been a mainstay in the side's recent upturn in form.
When asked about the player's future recently, Nathan Jones told the South London Press: “Look, what I’m saying is if anyone wants to come in for Lloyd Jones – he’s a prized asset for us. We’re ongoing in terms of contract talks. He’s another one that’s actually found a home.
“I signed him for Luton and working with him. He was a lot younger than he is now and we had two real excellent, experienced, serial promotion-winning centre-halves in our team at the time. So I’ve got a chance to work with him again.
“He’s really found a home in everything here now. So, look, we want to make it a longer-term home for him. That’s ongoing.”
