'Very frustrating' - Brentford dealt huge injury blow ahead of Tottenham and West Ham clashes

Brentford have been dealt a huge injury blow as they prepare for clashes with Leyton Orient, Tottenham and then West Ham. The Bees were beaten narrowly by Manchester City last time out after taking the lead through Yoane Wissa, leaving them on a respectable six points from their first four games.
That puts Thomas Frank’s men in ninth place in the premature Premier League table, and they are now preparing for a trio of clashes with London rivals, beginning against Leyton Orient in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night ahead of facing Spurs in the Premier League on Saturday away from home at West Ham at home the following Saturday.

Frank confirmed in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Orient clash: “Wissa is, unfortunately, not good news - it looks like an injury that will be a couple of months.
"It's very frustrating. We talked about our many injuries last year - I hope I don't have to talk too much about it this year. I maybe already have. We were unlucky with Igor [Thiago], unlucky with [Aaron] Hickey. We've then had two contact injuries with Mathias Jensen and Yoane Wissa, so that's very frustrating. But that's part of football - we move on and we will find solutions."
Wissa has already scored three and assisted once in four games this season, while he was also one of the Brentfords most dangerous players last season, scoring 12 times and assisting three in 34 Premier League outings.
His injury means Brentford have been caught short with Ivan Toney’s replacement Igor Thiago still out through injury. "Everybody was saying we bought Igor Thiago to replace Ivan [Toney] - but we still had Wissa,” Frank added. “We bought Igor Thiago to build the squad and provide competition in the squad.
