Premier League free agent midfielders and forward still available to West Ham and rivals, including ex-Man Utd man

A look at the Premier League midfielders and forwards clubs can still sign ahead of next week’s squad submission deadline.

The summer transfer window may have closed, but clubs can still add players to their squads through the free agent market. Brentford, Crystal Palace, Fulham and West Ham could consider further incomings, though time is running out.

Players will need to be signed and registered by the time the Premier League squad submission deadline closes next week, with only 25 senior players able to be registered. Here we run you through the current Premier League free agents available. Here we focus on midfielders and forwards, with all these players having been registered at a Premier League club within the last 12 months.

Amadou Diallo

Last club: Newcastle United

The former Newcastle United starlet is searching for a new club at the age of 21. The winger initially represented West Ham at youth level. He made just one league appearance for the Magpies.

Jack Cork

Last club: Burnley

The 35-year-old’s time in the Premier League is likely up after his Burnley departure. It remains to be seen whether he will continue playing at a lower level.

Cheikhou Kouyaté

Last club: Nottingham Forest

The 34-year-old midfielder can also play centre-back, making him an attractive option, especially with his experience. He could still play a squad role at top-flight level.

Emiliano Marcondes

Last club: AFC Bournemouth

The Danish midfielder struggled for games at Bournemouth, making just 18 league appearances in three years. He is unlikely to land a Premier League deal.

Saman Ghoddos

Last club: Brentford

The former Brentford midfielder is looking for a new club having made 78 outings for the Bees, scoring five times. He is a 52-time Iran international.

Ivan Perisic

Last club: Hajduk Split

The former Tottenham forward is back available after a brief spell with Hajduk Split, where he fell out with the manager and left the club. He could be an attractive option despite being 35 years of age.

Steven Alzate

Last club: Brighton

The former Brighton midfielder is reportedly closing in on a deal to join Championship club Hull City. A Premier League deal was unlikely for the 25-year-old this summer.

Dennis Praet

Last club: Leicester City

The one-time £18million Leicester City signing is searching for a new club, and it appears as though he will return to Belgium with Anderlecth, according to DH Net. A number of Premier League and Championship clubs are said to have enquired, though, and the deal is not done yet.

Andre Gomes

Last club: Everton

Andre Gomes left Everton in the summer but it looks as though he is about to be taken off this list, reportedly undergoing a medical at Lille this weekend ahead of a return to the French club.

Anthony Martial

Last club: Manchester United

The 28-year-old forward made 209 league appearances for Manchester United over nine years and is now searching for a new club. He is one of the more attractive options on the list, but it’s reported Brazilian club Flamengo are pushing for a deal. There have also been links with a move to Spain.
