Brentford manager Thomas Frank was not up for chatting about the reduction of a points penalty handed to Everton as he spoke to the press following a 4-2 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium on Monday night.

Frank was sharp when first asked about the situation at Goodison Park, smirking when quizzed whether the situation had affected his team mentally before kick-off. He replied: "Absolutely not."
When asked a little more gently on the matter, Frank gave a slightly longer response but remained cautious with his words. He said: "I think right now I'm mainly very irritated about the performance as it's very unlike us. That's my main focus. You're more than welcome to join the press conference on Friday and I will have more thoughts about it."

Neal Maupay pulled a goal back for the West London outfit but the fightback did not last long in the second half as Bowen completed a hat-trick before Emerson fired a scorcher past Mark Flekken. Yoane Wissa got Brentford a second but it was too little too late for his side.
Reflecting on the performance, Frank said: "Today we didn't hit a good level individually and collectively, West Ham had a good level and Bowen was unplayable and Emerson put into the top corner.
"One of the things we've been very very good at in all my time at Brentford is consistency in performances there are very few games where we don't perform to a certain level."
