Brentford’s intriguing predicted Premier League final place finish compared to Crystal Palace and Watford

It was another weekend of huge results in the bottom half of the table...

Brentford’s poor run of form continued on Saturday with a 2-1 defeat to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side.

The Bees have now picked up just one point from their last seven Premier League outings, and find themselves six points of the relegation zone with crucial clashes against the likes of Newcastle United, Norwich City, and Burnley to come in the near future.

Likewise, Crystal Palace suffered defeat at the weekend after falling to a late Hakim Ziyech strike in a 1-0 loss against Chelsea.

Patrick Vieira’s side are two points better off than Brentford, but are in a slump of their own and haven’t won a league match in 2022.

By contrast, Watford did pick up a vital three points on Saturday, seeing off Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa in a tight 1-0 win.

The Hornets are still four points adrift of safety, however, and know that they face an uphill battle to retain their Premier League status this term.

But how will the three London clubs at the wrong end of the table fare over the remainder of the campaign?

We’ve taken a look at the latest predicted table from stat experts FiveThirtyEight to find out.
