The Bees swooped to sign the 20-year-old over the summer from Italian side Bologna and he has since adapted well to life in the Premier League.
He has made seven appearances so far this term for Thomas Frank’s side.
Prior to this move to the Gtech Community Stadium, Hickey rose up through the ranks at Hearts and played 33 times for their first-team before spending a couple of years in Italy.
Brentford will be hoping he is fit for next weekend’s trip to Bournemouth.
In other injury news, Ethan Pinnock played for the B team last week as he continues his road to recovery.
