Brentford predicted starting XI to face Colchester United in the Carabao Cup: Frank to play new signings?

Brentford take on League Two side Colchester United this evening in the Carabao Cup.

The Bees are looking to bounce back from their 3-2 loss away at rivals Fulham over the weekend in the Premier League.

Tonight gives Thomas Frank the chance to give some fringe players and youngsters the chance to show what they can do.

GK: Thomas Strakosha

The goalkeeper has been brought in to compete with David Raya for the number one spot this term.

RB: Mads Roerslev

He now battles it out with summer signing Aaron Hickey for the right-back spot.

CB: Pontus Jansson

The skipper is now in his fourth year with the London club.

CB: Mads Bech Sorensen

He has come off the bench in two of the opening three league games so far in this campaign.

LB: Rico Henry

The left-back has started all matches this season.

CM: Frank Onyeka

This is a good opportunity for the Nigeria international to get some game time under his belt.

CM: Shandon Baptiste

He will be eager to show Frank what he can do from the off.

CM: Vitaly Janelt

The midfielder started on the opening day away at Leicester City but has since found himself on the bench.

RW: Keane Lewis-Potter

He is yet to start since his summer switch from Hull City and this is a good chance for him against Colchester.

CF: Halil Dervişoğlu

The forward has spent recent times out on loan in his native Turkey with Galatasaray.

LW: Mikkel Damsgaard

He is expected to start following his transfer from Italian outfit Sampdoria.
