Thomas Frank and Brentford were left needing another defensive inquest after the latest Premier League defeat, this time at the hands of West Ham under the lights at the London Stadium.
The Bees were sluggish from kick off and the Hammers didn't need a second invitation to put the game to bed within ten minutes with two goals from Jarrod Bowen. Brentford replied shortly after thanks to a nice move and finish from Neal Maupay but their fight back capitulated after the break.
A good Wissa finish from the bench added a degree of respectability to the scoreline as the match finished 4-2 - here's how the Brentford players rated vs West Ham.
1. Mark Flekken - 5
Not hugely convincing tonight but not helped by his defence at all. Photo: Getty Images
2. Sergio Reguilon - 3
A bit of a weak link tonight. West Ham had a lot of joy down the right. He did some nice work going forwards but cut a frustrated figure and had to be cautioned by teammates as he ran a fine line with dissent at times.
3. Zanka - 5
Saw yellow for a high boot in the second half and his misplaced pass led to the chance for West Ham's second. Photo: Getty Images
4. Ben Mee - 4
Struggled with the pace of Mohammed Kudus but did make an impressive slide tackle to stop the winger in the second half. Photo: Getty Images
